 ~ It's Here and it's AMAZING!! ~
Aligning with the Spring ISD strategic plan to increase literacy and help all our students have the resources they need to become great readers and leaders, Winship will be receiving a "Little Library."  It will be posted in front of the school and will be a great resource for all children in our community.  A Special thanks to all business and community members who contributed to this AWESOME project!!



IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
 FOR 2016-2017

Attendance is very important at Winship Elementary.  Our legislature has enacted a law that requires student be present 90% of the time.  This law is found in the Texas Education Code Section 25.092.
Excessive absences will be referred to the District Truancy officer.  When a student is absent or tardy, parents should call the school as soon as possible on the day of the absence.  If a parent call, a written note by the parent, or a Dr.'s note is not received within 48 hours of an absence, the absence will be considered unexcused.
Please help us meet our
Attendance Goal of 98% for EVERY STUDENT 
for this coming school year.

Winship is a CHAMPS campus!!

To achieve our goal of helping EVERY student be the best they can be-both academically and socially, Winship (and all SISD elementary campuses) has adopted the CHAMPS model. The acryomyn stands for: Communication, Help, Activity, Movement, Participation and Success and it helps both students and teachers clearly define and know expectations throughout our campus. We look forward to sharing more about CHAMPS with you during parent conferences.

Please help us maintain the grant opportunity for the 2016-17 school year by completing the F and R lunch forms that will come home with your student on the first week.
