3rd Annual Human Rights Walk and Festival
When: Saturday, December 7, 2013
Where: Town Green Park in the Woodlands
The purpose of this function is to raise awareness of our basic human rights and celebrate International Human Rights Day. It will be a family oriented event, not a political one. Also, the event is very meaningful and a tremendous amount of fun.
We are asking clubs and students at the schools to become involved by either participating simply by coming to the event and be a part of the walk, or, by volunteering or sponsoring a booth if it has a Human Rights Theme.
The following is a list of areas where volunteers and assistance is needed:
***Student volunteers will receive up to four DSG hours.***
- School mascot (in outfit) to walk around and take pictures with children.
- Cheerleaders (in uniforms) to walk and take pictures.
- Help at moon walk and inflatables stations.
- Face painters.
- Help at Registration.
- Help at Arts and Crafts tables.
- Help at "Carnival Games"
- Set up and clean up crews.
