Dear RMS Parent (s),

I'd like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Tracey Walker-Daniels, and I am excited and honored to be the new principal of Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School. I've been fortunate enough to work in the field of education for a total of 15 years. I've served children in the capacity of a middle school Language Arts teacher, an associate principal of a ninth grade campus, and the associate principal of middle school campuses. I’ve assumed the role of associate principal at Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School since its inception helping to establish the vision and mission of our school. I promise to continue the tradition of innovative excellence.

I hope that you are just as eager and excited as I am to get this new school year started! I can assure you that RMS teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that all of our students have an engaging and different learning experience. I expect that our students will be ready to partake in all of the wonderful things we have designed for them. I believe that all will work together diligently to reach our "Exemplary" goals. I thank you in advance for providing us with the necessary support we will need to ensure our students' success.

Many in education believe that in order for students to reach their greatest potential, they must first be inspired or motivated either intrinsically or extrinsically. I believe that this motivation in various ways stems from having significant relationships with teachers. With this in mind, I will ensure that we build relationships with our RMS students by cultivating a culture of "Champions" amongst our RMS staff. I will do this by being visible throughout the campus modeling for all stakeholders what it truly means to advocate for and support the needs of all students. I will continue to lead the charge of "Bringing Our Vision to Fruition."

I close by saying that I thank you for choosing to send your child to Roberson Middle School. This decision should not be taken lightly, and we are committed to meeting your expectation of excellence. Please know that RMS has an open door policy, so please do not hesitate to contact me.
