Major Elementary Parents and Students,
I have important news to share. Major Elementary School is under new leadership. Mrs. Shamethia Dillard is the new principal at Major Elementary. She brings thirteen years of educator and leadership experience. Her experience extends from being an elementary teacher, Instructional Coordinator, Regional Math Specialist, and most recently an Assistant Principal in Houston ISD.
During her years, Mrs. Shamethia Dillard has focused on improving student achievement by setting clear performance objectives for students and teachers, creating school wide systems and structures, identifying and supporting individual needs of students, team building, professional development and support for staff. We are planning to host a New Principal Meet and Greet in August so please place close attention to the school’s website and marquee for your invitation to this special opportunity to become acquainted with Mrs. Shamethia Dillard.
