During this time, they discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories, and are equipped with resources to strengthen their relationship.

My name is Terra Lozano--Hoyland's Librarian. I am truly honored to have been selected by peers as Hoyland's Teacher of the Year.
I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Special Education from St. Edward's University. In 2003, I received my Masters of Science in School Library and Information Science from the University of Houston--Clear Lake. This year, I will have completed my 27th year in the field of education--the last six years in Spring ISD as a librarian. I truly enjoy my role as librarian. I especially enjoy sharing my passion for reading with our students. I believe my role as librarian is to connect each student with the "right book," and to help "grow" them as readers.
Pioneer Paraprofessional of the Year 2012-2013
My name is Carol Cashmere. I am the Prekindergarten Paraprofessional at Hoyland Elementary. I have worked in Spring ISD since 2004 and really enjoy living and working in the district. I am honored and blessed to be named “Paraprofessional of the Year.” It is a true joy to wake up and come to a place with bright, smiling children. I enjoy not only working with the Prekindergarten students but I am also thrilled to be able to touch the lives of so many other students at Hoyland. I would like to thank my family and friends who have supported me and my career for so many years. I would especially like to thank my husband Arthur, my son Andre, my stepson Arthur, Jr. and my grandson Zakai who have given me so much love and support. It is my wish that Hoyland students will all R.E.A.C.H. Success!
